South African Airways are pleased to confirm the arrival of the Springboks, South Africa’s national rugby team, to London’s Heathrow Airport for the Rugby World Cup 2015. The team landed on time on flights SA234 and SA236 on Saturday 12th September 2015, welcomed to the UK by members of the South African Airways team carrying South African flags and banners.
Green and gold appeared from the planes as the 31-man squad disembarked and headed into central London to warm up for the Rugby World Cup.
If the Springboks win the Rugby World Cup Final on Saturday 31st October 2015 at Twickenham Stadium, they will be the first team in rugby history to win the Rugby World Cup three times.
