South African Airways (SAA) acknowledges and would like to thank our customers and stakeholders for the support and understanding during the inconvenience experienced during the industrial action reported on Wednesday 26 April. Our planned flight schedules have resumed - whilst operations are geared to full service recovery, we remain exposed to minimal operational delays
Flights departing from South African coastal cities to Johannesburg early yesterday morning (26 April) were impacted and options were considered to accommodate passengers affected by the cancellations. The strike action follows a notice of industrial action by one of the labour unions representing its cabin crew members, the South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA).
South African Airways advises passengers booked to travel on SA235 and SA237 from London Heathrow to Johannesburg on the 26 and 27 April 2017, to check in as normal.
